Tidal McCoy – Chairman
Mr. McCoy has 35 years service at the highest levels of the government, private sector, and new ventures. He has developed a strong network of senior leaders in the United States and abroad, and is still closely associated with the Department of Defense and provides information and assistance as requested. In addition, Mr. McCoy has direct experience in identifying and translating government technologies to the commercial market, including the introduction of the automobile air bag (a $15 billion a year industry).

Mr. McCoy retired from the military/government with over 25 year's service, including appointments as Acting Secretary and Assistant Secretary of the Air Force under President Reagan, before pursuing private sector ventures. Ty personally received three Medals for Extraordinary Service from the Secretary of Defense (2) and the Secretary of the Air Force, as well as other military medals, ribbons, and honors. Further acknowledgements include letters and monetary bonuses from the President, Senators, House Majority Leader, news organizations, good government organizations, and private sector CEOs. In various executive positions, he formulated, planned, and executed major doctrinal changes, multi-billion dollar programs, legislative victories, association creations, and private company strategic contract/financing wins.

Mr. McCoy has received education and training through numerous schools and courses. Yet, he is most proud of being a cadet at the United States Military Academy. He was All-American in water polo, and completed West Point's engineering program in 1967. He also earned a MS (Business Financial Management) from George Washington University in 1975.


Carla York – CEO
Over the past decade, Ms. York has gained tremendous experience in the area of advanced public transportation and clean fuel technology applications. She worked in positions of business development, sales, program management and federal relations. In addition to building technical and management expertise, she cultivated a network of valuable contacts within the transportation, environmental, and energy communities across the country.

Ms. York is responsible for moving Ebus, a California electric bus manufacturer, from regional to national recognition. During her tenure, she established important relationships with members and professional staff in the legislative and executive branches of government. Later, she worked in a non-profit organization dedicated to research education, real-time testing, and further implementation of electric transit vehicles for public transportation, facilitating the acquisition and coordination of federal funding through the Federal Highway Administration's Technology Transfer program.

Carla received her BA in business management from McKenzie College in 1984. She is a previous board member of East Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition, a member of National Clean Cities, Inc., and serves as an advisor to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado.


Mike Peters – General Counsel
Mr. Peters serves as Innovation Drive's Corporate Secretary and is its chief legal counsel. He started his private legal practice (Peters & Associates in Albuquerque, New Mexico) in 1994, and specializes in business planning, business litigation, taxation, and tax exempt organizations. He reviews corporate contracts and assists in the resolution of disputes.

Mr. Peters' previous accounting and financial experience includes: Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.; Price Waterhouse; Grey Advertising; Moss, Adams in Dallas, New York, and Los Angeles, from 1981—1992.

Mike completed his undergraduate degree in accounting at Baylor University in 1977, and subsequently earned his Juris Doctorate in 1981. He is a former practicing Certified Public Accountant and is licensed by the Texas State Board of Public Accounting since 1982.
Vicki Payne – Director, Transportation Services
Before joining Innovation Drive, Ms Payne worked for the Chattanooga Area Regional Transport Authority (CARTA) for ten years. For two years, she served as Manager of Grants, overseeing funding and procurements, including Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) quotas, for the Authority. She installed an electronic filing system, and was responsible for all FTA monthly and quarterly reports. For the last five years, Vicki served as Director of Human Resources.

Ms. Payne received her Bachelor of Science degree in organizational management from Covenant College in 1993 and her Master's in Public Administration from the University of Tennessee–Chattanooga in 1995. She is currently Board Chair for Hospice of Chattanooga and chairs Tennessee Department of Transportation's (TDOT) Title VI and Drug and Alcohol Task Forces.


 



Trish Abercrombie – Director, Program Planning and Operations
Ms. Abercrombie is dedicated to supporting the CEO in the daily planning and operations requirements of the varied programs the company manages. Her main focus is program support, development, and scheduling. She is adept in leveraging and implementing software to track and update engineering progress to ensure accuracy in data and reporting. She avails her efforts in support of market research and the effective allocation of resources to various programs and projects.
Trish earned a bachelor of applied science in accounting and business management from Tennessee Wesleyan College in 1990, and also has an associate degree in computer programming from McKenzie College (1986). Before joining Innovation Drive, she was an Engineering Designer for SAIC. She has worked steadily since 1984 in a variety of positions. Notably, she held positions with BlueCross BlueShield, Dream Works Printing, and two regional grocery chains.
